Under Artificial Intelligence (AI), 96 lakh farmers of Gujarat have joined the area of 2.43 lakh square kilometres. Due to this technology, the farmers get all the information including planting, loss of crops, crop diseases, cultivation, fertilizers and water, in the mobile application.
The app is helping farmers get in touch with scientists. In addition, a Soil Moisture Sensor is being installed which allows automatic water harvesting as per the need. Amnex Info Technology Pvt Ltd has obtained a three-year project under the AI technology with the Gujarat government, said Kalpesh Mordia of the company. Also, the government and insurance companies are being provided information of the in the event of floods and drought via drones so that farmers can get adequate and timely returns.
Addressing the Industry 4.0 Summit by Nasscom Center of Excellence, FICCI, Science and Technology Department on Manufacturing Access, Pankaj Patel, former president of FICCI and chairman of Zydus Group, said there are many opportunities for this technology in the pharmaceutical field as well. We have a lot of research data but have not used it before. Industries also account for 14 per cent of Gujarat’s industry share.
In the age of technology, most industries are turning to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) due to quality, less time consuming, more financial savings.
Sectors like auto industries, pharma, engineering, chemicals etc. are increasing consumption for automatic production. AI and IoT are the most widely used technology in improving cities, such as streetlights, water meters, gas meters and public transport such as BRTS and GSRTC.
Technology
Development in Medium-Large scale industries is helping them increase production through technology. Whether the adoption of technology will yield results is far-fetched, but there is a growing trend in Gujarat’s industrialists, especially in the manufacturing sector. The auto, manufacturing, pharma and engineering sectors are rapidly adopting new technologies.
